In times long ago, long since past where pride, strength, mead, meat, women, sorcery and quests for adventures paved the way for wandering warriors in harsch barbaric times not meant for the weak, many a legends have been spun of these mythological men and women and the creatures they vanquished by hands and sometimes with a majestically build axe.

These steroidfilled, furry underwear covered superiour warriors of old were treated with utter respect and fear based upon the stories of their mighty escapades. The mere awesomeness of the mighty swordwielding beings have been told through centuries and earned it´s place on to the movies, names like ConanSheKutchek and GoreDarAmethea,  AtorDarkwolfRed Sonja and Hundra have had their name heroically sung in many alcoholinfluenced tales of a bard and then we have Korgoth.

Korgoth of Barbaria is an animated show that is suited for an adult public with a childish sense of humour so one of my friends thought that I would enjoy this and correct he was! This show was created by Aaron Springer who is also guilty of writing for shows like Dexters Laboratory, Samurai Jack, Spongebob Squarepants and Grim & Evil to name a few, there is a big thing that diverse Korgoth from the rest of those shows and that is violence, blood, gore and boobs but no nippleshowing, correction no female nippleshowing.

In this epic saga we follow a mischiveous gang of thugs that happened to stumple upon the mighty appearence of the infamous Korgoth whom they have orders to take to their leader, after a couple of Korgoth-related accidents among the gang they managed to get him to voluntary follow them to their leader where he s offered food and drinks, The Leader Gog-Ma-Gogg have a task for him which he declines but Gog-Ma-Gogg had already foreseen his unwilling nature to help him and planted a deadly stomach parasite in the food, now Korgoth have no choice but to take orders if he wants the antidote and survive, with him he have twelve of Gog-Ma-Goggs strongest men and one or two of the weakest just for fun.

On their quest he have to find the castle of the wizard Specules and steal the golden goblin and bring it back to Gog-Ma-Gogg, many are the dangers that lurks on the path to the castle and crazy are the bloodfilled events that takes place.

Korgoth is a fresh parody of Conan and the likes in the sword and sorcery genre but with alot of humour, happenings and oneliners that you never expect, the sad thing is that this show just got one episode and Adult Swims excuse for not producing more episodes was that it was too expensive, really? I think they have spended a bigger budget on more crappier things than this, if Korgoth had been revived in these days I´m pretty convinced that it would be bigger than Metalocalypse ever was.

So someone, pick up this show again and make it as great as the first episode and why not make a live action movie of it too, I would without a doubt be the first guy in the line of the ticket stand or well I would be first guy ordering the greatest seats on the net.
