Total Fury truely shows us that torture movies are not only painful and tedious to watch - it can be hilarious too, especially when the team behind the project is called "Roadkill Superstar". These Canadians has made many entertaining fake-trailers and hommages over the past years, but right in among them there are also short films such as the infamous cult-flick Le Bagman and not to forget to mention their latest feature-hit Turbo Kid (which hopefully will get a sequel pretty soon). But I actually hadn't heard of Total Fury until I visited their video-channel a few years ago. This was a real surprise and now I also want you readers to study this entertaining shortie, which will not take more than 12 measly minutes of your life.

This over-the-top party briefly explains the story of a young girl who will soon be fighting a large collection of villains and escapes a graphic torture. She takes inspiration from Arnold Schwarzenegger's films from the 80s and unleashes a parade of violence that converts the entire screen in the sticky red color. Where is Arnold when you need him the most?

Total Fury shouts violently about the exploitation genre and do it in a very unique and nicly way. The female avenger (Anouk Whissell) is heavily inspired by Arnold Schwarzenegger and looks like a young and cute Frigga (Thriller: A Cruel Picture)-caricature dressed in a school uniform, and when the revenge takes over the blood spreads high and a laughter is promised to escalate throughout the whole livingroom. I can't get enough of this type of entertainment and I really hope that one day it will be released on DVD. But according to a brief statement from director and actor Anouk Whissell, there is currently no talk of some physical release, which I think is very sad.

Splatter movies hand in hand with Exploited Action and Japanese Gore meets a Canadian team that has a great delight of gas masks and torture tools - I would say a pure BDSM-chamber full of mutilated body parts and several liters of blood. But when the female cast member suddenly takes over the power, there will soon not be a single body part that sits at the right place. Rache ist süß!

It has been ten years since Total Fury was released and their biggest work to date has been Turbo Kid so far. It's just a matter of time before they release their next hit and I'm nailed to a curse of longing. Roadkill Superstar is one of the most entertaining low budget creators in modern times with the Spaniards from Eskoria Films and deserves all the good criticism they have received. It is still a long journey that awaits them and I'm ready to follow them. Thanks!
